Topic: Eastview Girls Soccer
Angle: Players on the team
Script IN (for anchor): Many students around Eastview High School have been talking about the undefeated Lightning girls soccer team. Lindsey got the inside scoop on the team to see what they were all about.
Stand up: Thank you, anchor. Nothing can seem to get in the way of the girls Lightning soccer team. With zero losses, the question is “what keeps this team going?”
1st Interview Abby Lee: The reason I love playing soccer for Eastview is because I love being a part of the team. We have pasta dinners at someone’s house the night before we play which makes a good bonding experience for the whole team. The dinners are kind of a reward for all of our hard work that we do during practice.
Segue: The girls’ hard work in practice has paid off resulting in an amazing record of 7-4-0.
2nd Interview Courtney Hopps: My favorite game was against Lakeville North. Last year, it was the only game we lost, but this year everyone on the team was super pumped for it. We ended up winning 2-1 because we didn’t quit fighting until the end.
Segue: Fighting until the end is only one of the many things that this soccer team does.
3rd Interview Haley Schoenecker: Everyone on the team is really good about encouraging each other and talking on the field. We support each other whether someone does something good or bad. I have gotten to know everyone on the team and we are all very close this season.
Close: It is clear that these girls have put their hearts and souls into the game. Together, they are finishing off the season with positive minds and they are determined to win.
Reporting for the Flash, I’m Lindsey.
Script OUT (for anchor): Thanks, Lindsey. I can’t wait to see how the girls do at their next game against the Apple Valley Eagles tomorrow night.
